RN - PICU

Pediatric Icu Registered Nurse (Rn)

This is a 13-week contract position, consisting of 3 night shifts per week at 12 hours each.

Join our dedicated team in the Pediatric Icu, where you will provide high-quality care to critically ill children. This unit has 11 beds with telemetry capabilities and additional surge capacity, staffed by highly trained nurses equipped to handle various pediatric cases.

Responsibilities:

• Provide care for intubated patients, including respiratory support and vasoactive drips.
• Monitor patients using telemetry and support with cvl and alines as needed.
• Manage and assess patients with conditions such as respiratory issues, trauma, post-operative surgical recovery, and sepsis.
• Ensure appropriate nurse-to-patient ratios based on acuity levels.
• Be prepared to float to other areas, including the pediatric emergency room, as necessary.

Required experience / certifications / licensure:

• A minimum of 3 years of nursing experience preferred.
• Current rn license and certifications: pals, bls, pcar, tncc.
• Bsn preferred; ccrn certification is a plus.
• Previous travel experience is not required.
