A typical day includes : Patients receiving orthopedic surgery are commonly cared for in our department, but we also care for patients receivinga variety of gynecological, urological, and abdominal procedures. Medical patients present with a variety of illnesses including: sepsis, UTIs, pneumonia, wound care, COPD, CHF, and so much more. The nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 1:6 with a tech to assist.assessing patients. Administering medications to manage patients' pain levels and medical needs. Working closely with our providers to generate a plan for the dayto coordinate admissionsand discharges as the shift progresses. Working with a great team of upbeat nursing staff and providers.
