Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of clients to identify their mental health needs and challenges.

• Develop personalized treatment plans and therapeutic interventions tailored to each client's specific conditions and goals.

• Provide ongoing individual and group therapy sessions to support clients in overcoming obstacles related to mental health disorders such as anxiety, depression, substance use, and eating disorders.

• Employ a variety of evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness practices, to facilitate client progress.

• Document client interactions and treatment progress accurately in electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines.

• Coordinate care by making referrals to psychiatrists and other healthcare providers when additional services are required.

• Actively participate in regular team meetings to discuss case management and share insights for more effective client care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Grandview, you will work with a diverse population, comprising individuals of various ages, backgrounds, and cultural identities. Our clients frequently present with complex mental health issues, including but not limited to anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, PTSD, and substance use disorders. Your role will involve using culturally responsive practices to ensure that all clients feel understood and respected in a therapeutic environment.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid mental health counseling license as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

• A minimum of four years of clinical experience in a mental health setting, demonstrating strong therapeutic skills.

• A comprehensive understanding of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
