As a Security Officer in Caledonia, MS, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you. Pay Rate: $22.08 / Hour Job Schedule DayTimeMon05:00 AM - 05:00 PM How This Role Works Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. Responsibilities Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, access‑control requirements, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government utility location. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions. Monitor and control access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and maintain accurate logs and incident reports. Operate assigned communications, alarm, and surveillance systems, and promptly report security‑related concerns to appropriate personnel. Minimum Requirements Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree. Be at least 21 years of age. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. An armed guard card or license is preferred. Pepper spray certification is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry‑specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
