Travel Physical Therapist - Rehab

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for Outpatient and Inpatient Rehab with a minimum of 1 year of experience and current BLS certification.

Position covers both Outpatient and Inpatient Rehab PT services.

Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours (8:00 AM-4:30 PM).

Uses Cerner charting system.

Floating required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate facilities.

Minimum 1 year of PT experience required.

Current BLS certification required (AHA or Red Cross accepted, RQI cards not accepted).

License required if applicable.

Experience with orthopedic, cardiopulmonary, and neurologic patient populations preferred.

Skilled in adaptive devices, gait training, and various assessment techniques.

Proficient in documentation including evaluations, care plans, and discharge planning.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, treatment planning, and home exercise program development.

Treats a variety of conditions including post-op orthopedic cases, COPD, CHF, stroke rehabilitation, and spinal cord injuries.

Utilizes equipment such as Hoyer lifts, gait belts, and specialty beds.

Grey scrub color required.

Parking permit required at no cost, arranged during orientation.

First-time travelers accepted.

Local candidates accepted with no radius restriction.

Previous permanent or PRN employees must be separated from the facility for at least 12 months before returning as a traveler.

Must work 2 of the 3 major holidays.

Time off requests should be discussed directly with the hospital manager.

Travel pairs are not accepted.
