Reserve Police Officer
The City of Homestead, FL is seeking a Reserve Police Officer. This is a reserve/voluntary position with the Police Department. The role involves preventing crime, enforcing laws, maintaining peace, and controlling traffic. The position requires working shift assignments under the supervision of the Police Reserve Officer Program Supervisor.
The duties include enforcing federal, state, and county laws, patrolling assigned zones, performing preliminary investigations, handling traffic situations, managing domestic quarrels, responding to emergencies, observing suspicious activities, conducting community relations, and learning criminal, civil, and traffic statutes and ordinances.
Requirements include a high school diploma or its equivalency, meeting State Police Minimum Standards, passing a physical examination, and successfully completing background investigations. The position is not eligible for benefits.
