About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Women's Services Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years License: Must possess a valid RN license Certifications: Must have ACLS, BLS, NRP, STABLE, and AWHONN certifications Must-Have: Must have 2 years of recent experience in Level 1 Nursery, Postpartum, OB/GYN, and Labor and Delivery. Certifications must be current and attached to submission. Description: Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments. Appropriately assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to the care team, physician, patient, and family. Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation. Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and support needs. Evaluates learning needs of patients and/or families and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances. Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient. Circulates during C/Sections and assists physicians as needed during deliveries. Follows appropriate policies during the recovery and care of surgical patients. Attends the neonatal station in the C/Section suite and assesses the neonate post-delivery. Attends fetal monitoring certification classes every two years. Attends STABLE certification classes if offered and is NRP certified. Able to identify necessary information to be communicated to physicians and patients. Candidate may be required to float to another unit as needed.
