Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU

Registered Nurse – Cardiovascular

Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts

Assignment Details:

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 36

Requirements:

• 1+ year of ICU experience (floating is not considered)
• EKG experience
• Michigan nursing license verification required
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Must be willing to float to similar units (Neuro, CVICU, Trauma preferred)
• Managing vents, CRRT, and balloon pumps preferred
• Skills checklist completed within one year of application is required

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Utilize clinical judgment skills to assess, diagnose, and treat patient responses to actual or potential health conditions.
• Provide comprehensive nursing care to cardiovascular patients, including post-operative care for open heart surgery patients.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Manage and monitor patients with congestive heart failure and those undergoing electrophysiology studies.
• Participate in clinical trials and research initiatives within the cardiovascular unit.

Compliance / Notes:

• The facility has a three-strike attendance policy effective 6/1/2024.
• Physical copies of certifications are required only if listed above.
• Full-time employees of the facility are not eligible for contract hire within six months of employment.
