The facility houses a Level-III NICU with 10 beds and a 20-bed newborn unit, supported by a highly collaborative, physician-led care team dedicated to delivering exceptional neonatal outcomes.


Opportunity:
Physician - Neonatology


Job Details:

• Provide neonatology coverage for a Level-III NICU with 10 beds and approximately 1,000 annual births
• Deliver care for newborns in a 20-bed newborn unit with daily support from Neonatal Nurse Practitioners (NNPs)
• Participate in a 3-physician neonatal staffing model ensuring collaborative clinical coverage
• Perform daily rounding in NICU and newborn settings
• Provide clinical oversight and management of critically ill and premature infants
• Support admissions, stabilization, and ongoing management of neonatal patients
• Collaborate closely with nursing staff, NNPs, and multidisciplinary care teams
• Participate in home-based call coverage rotation for NICU responsibilities
• Work within a flexible schedule structure supported by daytime APP/NNP coverage
• Contribute to maintaining high-quality, evidence-based neonatal care in a renovated, state-of-the-art facility
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine required
• Active Georgia Medical License (or willingness to obtain) required
• Neonatology fellowship training required with no exemptions
• This is a permanent, full-time employed position requiring residency within the immediate local area
