This position works in the storeroom as a medical/medical records inventory clerk. Candidates should possess experience in Excel. Candidates should be aware that this role involves exposure to incarcerated individuals. Work attire will consist of scrubs at all times. Responsibilities include performing routine administrative tasks to support the operations of health practitioners and nursing floors. Duties may vary based on the specific setting and unit. Health Information Technicians may be required to cover units that are short-staffed. The role entails answering phones and taking verbal orders. Ordering and maintaining inventory of supplies is essential to ensure proper equipment availability for patient care. Identifying and addressing issues with equipment functionality or supply levels is part of the job. Promoting the mission, vision, and values of the organization is expected. Unpacking and verifying supplies upon receipt while reporting discrepancies is required. Cycle counting may be performed as needed. Responding to inquiries from customers and suppliers about order status, changes, or cancellations is part of the role. Retrieving requisitions from the electronic supply system, filling orders, and delivering to departments is necessary. Packing supplies for return or dispatch is included in the responsibilities. Determining inventory levels and notifying relevant parties for orders is essential. Stock rotation using the First In First Out rule is required to manage inventory effectively. Expired items must be documented and packaged for removal. Maintaining a customer service-oriented attitude is crucial. Issuing inventory and maintaining records for each location is part of the responsibilities. Monitoring inventory levels and replenishing stock as needed is key. Candidates will be responsible for developing and implementing inventory control systems. Coordinating logistics for purchase orders, stock transfers, deliveries, tagging, and processing is expected. Forecasting supply and demand requirements is critical to ensure stock availability. Tracking inbound and outbound orders to prevent overstocking or shortages is necessary. Analyzing and reviewing supply chain data to identify and resolve issues is expected. Generating reports related to purchases, pricing, and supply chain analysis is part of the role. Performing regular stock checks and reporting issues to supervisors is necessary. Updating records of purchase orders and inventory management is part of the responsibilities.
