AI/ML Software Engineer

We are seeking highly motivated Software Engineers to join our team as an AI Engineer at Schriever Space Force Base, in Colorado Springs, CO.This exciting career opportunity is responsible for the development and delivery of high-fidelity threat missile modeling and missile defense software products in support of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) and MDA's Missile Defense System (MDS).Basic Qualifications:Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline with 2 years of relevant experience, or 0 years' experience with a Masters' DegreeMust have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of applicationFamiliarity in a variety of AI/ML techniques, including deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision, and reinforcement learningExperience with programming in Python, R, or other relevant languagesExperience with AI/ML frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, and KerasExperience with Large Language Models/Generative AI and Prompt Engineering. Also, using LLM/GAI solutions for usage in human-machine teaming for Software DevelopmentFamiliarity with Linux operating systems.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in Engineering and AerospaceFamiliarity with MLOps and deploying models at scale.Familiarity with A/B testing and other methods for evaluating the performance of AI/ML modelsFamiliarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCPFamiliarity with DevOps practices and toolsExperience working with sensitive data and adhering to data privacy regulationsExperience in Modeling and SimulationKnowledge of the flight characteristics, motion, atmospheric dynamics, and performance of missilesKnowledge of engineering modeling principles behind body motion, trajectory analysis, counter measures, debris, and signature modelingBackground with missile system models, atmospheric dynamics, and performanceExperience in Agile software development methodologies including Scrum and KanbanWe invest in the lives of our employees, both in and out of the workplace, by providing competitive pay and benefits packages.
