Certified Nurse Assistant CNA Renal Telemetry Part Time Days

It is a 3 procedure room, 1 OR facility that focuses on GI procedures. The facility has recently been re-accredited by Joint Commission. Open Monday - Friday for outpatient services only (with no call!), this facility is looking for a full time Endo Tech. JOB SUMMARY: The Endo Tech assists endoscopy team during endoscopy procedures. They arrange and inventory sterile set-up for operation, and passes items as needed to the endoscopy team. Assists in preparing and moving patients, and in cleaning the endoscopy room. The Endo Tech is responsible for the provision of care to meet identified patient outcomes and to achieve the goals of the facility as directed by the Registered Nurse. Provides a centralized distribution and control of supplies and equipment to the facility. The tech also stores prepared articles and supplies in designated areas. Maintains and tracks inventory according to facility procedures. This position reports to the Charge Nurse and ASC Director.

PATIENT CARE AND CLINICAL PRACTICES Assist physicians with endoscopic procedures. Performs gastrointestinal procedures as ordered by the physician. Cleans and disinfects instruments after use. Prepare and distribute patient records, and reports. Prepares and delivers specimens to the lab. Maintains standards of cleanliness required for patient examining rooms. Transport patients to and from procedure room Assist in trouble shooting, repairing and maintaining equipment. Ensures standards of quality control as set by the department and policy are maintained. Treats guests, patients, physicians and employees with care, and courtesy and respect. Check ASC paperwork for all necessary signatures/times at the end of the day. Stock all supplies needed for the procedure room, to prep for the next day. May begin IV process for patients Performs other duties as assigned

REPROCESSING Open scope room and clinic area Process all endoscopes, tubing, and equipment according to policies and procedures. Maintains all logs accurately to include: Filter log, Disinfectant Efficacy log, and service log Keep record of all scopes cleaned with corresponding patient use and record of completed processing. Maintain clean, safe, and orderly working environment Prep room for next day. REQUIRED Stock all supplies for Scope reprocessing. Change chemicals and filters as scheduled and maintain necessary supplies. Check ASC paperwork for all necessary signatures/times at the end of each day. Assists others as needed and as assigned All other duties as directed.

CLINICAL DUTIES Provide patients clinical instructions for procedures and testing Rooming patients Vital signs Meaningful use measures Instruct patients how to use their prescribed bowel prep prior to their procedures. Provide lab results to patients as requested by Physician Accurately obtaining patient medical history Documentation of all clinical encounters Compliance with HIPPA Assist in trouble shooting, repairing and maintaining equipment. Assist physicians in procedures and testing at each site Assist ASC, when assigned, with duties in scope of licensure Chaperone physicians with office exams Stock room, request supplies as needed Instruct patients on prep for an testing Prepare the medical records for next day appointments. Assist clinic schedulers with outgoing faxes. Verify patient appointments for propofol cases. Assist others as needed and as assigned. All other duties as directed.

EDUCATION: High School Diploma/GED

EXPERIENCE: 2+ years’ experience in established endoscopy center Must have working knowledge of standard Gastroenterology procedures.
