The Williamsburg Winery is seeking enthusiastic, dependable, and guest-focused Servers to join our team at the Gabriel Archer Tavern. Our Servers are responsible for delivering exceptional dining experiences by providing attentive, knowledgeable, and professional service while creating a welcoming atmosphere for every guest.

Availability Requirement: This position requires a flexible schedule. Weekend, evening, and holiday availability is a condition of employment and is required , as these are our busiest periods of operation.

• Greet guests promptly with a warm, friendly, and professional attitude.
• Present menus and communicate daily specials, menu changes, promotions, and unavailable items.
• Develop a thorough knowledge of the food menu, winery wines, local products, and recommended wine pairings to confidently answer guest questions and make recommendations.
• Promote winery wines, wine club memberships, and other winery offerings when appropriate.
• Accurately take food and beverage orders using the POS system.
• Deliver food and beverages promptly while ensuring accuracy, quality, and presentation standards.
• Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience and respond promptly to requests or concerns.
• Process guest payments accurately, including cash and credit card transactions.
• Follow all cash handling and POS procedures.
• Clear, clean, and reset tables to maintain a clean, organized, and inviting dining room.
• Complete all opening and closing side work, including setting tables, stocking service stations, rolling silverware, cleaning, sweeping, and restocking supplies.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout each shift.
• Follow all health, safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service regulations.
• Work collaboratively with kitchen, bar, hosts, and fellow front-of-house team members to ensure efficient and seamless service.
• Assist with private events, large parties, and other operational needs as assigned.
• Handle guest concerns professionally and notify management of any issues requiring additional assistance.
• Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to The Williamsburg Winery's uniform and grooming standards.
• Report to work on time, prepared for each scheduled shift.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support restaurant operations.

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Positive attitude with a strong work ethic and team-oriented mindset.
• Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Reliable attendance and dependable transportation.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and frequently bend, reach, lift, and carry trays weighing up to 40 pounds.
• Previous serving experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain any certifications required for the position.
• Must be available to work weekends, evenings, and holidays. Weekend, evening, and holiday shifts are required and are a condition of employment.

• Uphold all company policies, procedures, and service standards.

$5.00 per hour plus tips (guaranteed minimum earnings of $20.00 per hour).
