Physical Therapist - Travel Contract

Looking for a change of scenery and a chance to help others. Provide skilled physical therapy services in home health settings across Manning, SC and surrounding counties. Manage caseloads independently, coordinate with physicians and agency staff, and deliver care that supports patient safety and functional goals. Document clinical findings and progress in accordance with agency policies and regulatory requirements. Travel to patient homes across Clarendon, Sumter, Lee, Darlington, and Florence counties as assigned. A recruiter will contact qualified applicants with more information about the opportunity.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by APTA.
- Active South Carolina physical therapy license required to start assignment.
- Current BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
- Prior experience providing home health physical therapy preferred.
- Ability to safely perform manual and physical aspects of patient care, including lifting or assisting patients up to 50 pounds and frequent walking, standing, bending, and driving.
- Demonstrated competence with documentation and OASIS processes preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel to patient homes within assigned counties.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with start-of-care, recertification, reassessment, and discharge OASIS processes.
- Previous experience educating students or serving as a clinical preceptor.
- Familiarity with community resources and referral systems in the region.
Assignment Details
- Shift Hours: 0800-1700.
- Service area may include Clarendon, Sumter, Lee, Darlington, and Florence counties.
- Expectation to complete at least 20 in-home patient care units per week.
- Orientation pay allowed for up to two weeks at the equivalent of 30 units.
- Limited requested time off; individual requests should not extend more than two days at a time.
- Mileage reimbursed starting at the closest branch location or first patient’s home.
