Rising Sun Animal Hospital is a locally owned, state-of-the-art facility, practicing Eastern and Western medicine, that opened its doors in late 2024. We have quickly become a bustling hub for pet care in the community, and our client base is growing rapidly. We are looking for a dedicated veterinarian to join our team and help us manage our increasing surgical and appointment load.

We pride ourselves on a supportive work environment where work-life balance is prioritized. We are looking for a clinician who enjoys the flexibility of part-time work without sacrificing the quality of care.

We have dental x-ray and digital x-ray, ultrasound, cautery, and cold laser therapy capabilities. We have the ability to provide training for a clinician that wants to learn exotic medicine and surgery if they would like.

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced veterinarian to fill a part-time role focusing on surgery, dentistry, and general wellness appointments for dogs and cats. This position is perfect for a veterinarian looking for a steady, predictable schedule without the stress of after-hours emergencies.

• Schedule: 2 to 3 days per week (Days are negotiable). No weekends and no on-call requirements.
• Hours: 9-10 hours per shift
• Compensation: Competitive and negotiable. Open to per-shift (daily rate) compensation or hourly rate. No negative accrual.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine soft tissue surgeries (spays, neuters, mass removals, etc.).
• Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and extractions.
• Conduct general wellness exams, vaccinations, and sick patient appointments.
• Maintain accurate and timely digital medical records.
• Educate clients on preventive care and treatment plans.

Requirements:

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree from an accredited university.
• Active and valid Idaho Veterinary License in good standing.
• Ability to perform routine surgeries and dental procedures confidently on dogs and cats.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
