Food Service Supervisor

Facility: Park Avenue Extended Care
Location: Long Beach
Schedule: Full Time | Monday–Friday | 12 PM-8 PM
Salary: $60,000–$65,000 per year

Park Avenue Extended Care is seeking a dedicated Food Service Supervisor to lead our dietary team and ensure high-quality meal service for our residents. If you have a passion for food service, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to excellence, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities

• Supervise and train dietary staff to ensure exceptional food service delivery

• Prepare and maintain employee work schedules

• Monitor attendance and professional appearance of dietary staff

• Oversee food distribution, ensuring proper portioning and tray arrangement

• Ensure timely delivery and pick-up of resident meal trays

• Maintain food quality standards, including proper temperatures and presentation

• Assist with food preparation and service when needed

• Visit resident floors weekly to assess service quality and resident satisfaction

• Uphold sanitation standards in all kitchen and dining areas

• Ensure proper use and maintenance of food service equipment; report issues to Engineering/Maintenance

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Completion of a 90-hour course in food, nutrition, and personnel management in food service, or equivalent

• 1–2 years of experience working in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) preferred

• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
