Our client is looking for a Automation QA Engineer – Genomics / Bioinformatics project in San Diego, CA below is the detailed requirement.
Job Title : Automation QA Engineer – Genomics / Bioinformatics
Location : San Diego, CA
Required Skills : QA/Test Automation, NGS, LIMS, bioinformatics and life-sciences compliance
Job description:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 3+ years of QA/Test Automation experience with strong Python scripting.
- Develop and maintain automated test suites using pytest, unittest or Robot Framework .
- Test genomics, sequencing and life-sciences software applications.
- Perform functional, integration, regression and genomic data-validation testing.
- Validate sequencing data, variant outputs and sample-to-result traceability.
- Test LIMS integrations, sample tracking and laboratory workflows.
- Collaborate with wet-lab/dry-lab teams to create real-world test scenarios.
- Identify defects and support root-cause analysis with engineering/product teams.
- Integrate automated testing with CI/CD and improve test frameworks.
- Knowledge of NGS, LIMS, bioinformatics and life-sciences compliance is highly valuable.
