Referral Supervisor

Compensation: $57,000 - $67,000 annually Benefits: This position may be eligible for medical, dental, vision, PTO, and 401(k) benefits. About the Opportunity: Addison Group is seeking a Referral Supervisor on behalf of our client for a direct hire opportunity within a growing healthcare organization. This leadership role will oversee a team responsible for referral coordination and authorization management, ensuring patients receive timely access to care while maintaining compliance with payer requirements and internal standards. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced healthcare leader who combines strong people-management skills with a deep understanding of referral and authorization workflows. Key Responsibilities: Lead and support a team of referral specialists, providing coaching, mentorship, and day-to-day guidance Oversee referral and authorization processes to ensure requests are completed accurately and within established turnaround times Monitor team workloads, productivity metrics, and service levels to maintain operational efficiency Conduct team meetings, one-on-one coaching sessions, performance evaluations, and development planning Participate in recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training new team members Partner with internal leaders, providers, and departments to resolve referral-related challenges and improve patient access Review workflow trends and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and turnaround times Ensure documentation standards and payer requirements are consistently followed Support quality initiatives, audits, and compliance-related activities Act as a subject matter expert for referral management and authorization processes Requirements: Minimum of 3 years of recent experience working with referrals, prior authorizations, or patient access operations in a healthcare setting Previous supervisory, lead, or management experience required Strong understanding of payer authorization requirements and referral coordination workflows Experience managing employee performance, coaching, scheduling, and team development Ability to communicate effectively with providers, clinical leadership, and operational stakeholders Experience with electronic health record systems; Athena experience preferred Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision‑making skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment High school diploma or equivalent required Preferred Qualifications: Experience within radiology, specialty care, or multi‑site healthcare environments Exposure to centralized referral operations Experience with quality monitoring, workflow optimization, and process improvement initiatives #J-18808-Ljbffr Addison Group
