Senior Product Manager – Identity Management, KMSaaS & Cryptography

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Product Manager – Identity Management, KMSaaS & Cryptography for a hybrid position (3 days per week) with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC, Plano, TX and Pennington, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

The Senior Product Manager – Identity Management KMSaaS & Cryptography is responsible for owning and managing the full product lifecycle of enterprise cryptographic and key management services. This role acts as the single accountable product owner, responsible for product vision, roadmap definition, feature prioritization, release planning, and ongoing service evolution. This includes internal KMSaaS platforms, Hardware Security Modules (HSMs), and external cloud based cryptographic offerings. The Product Manager partners closely with security architecture, engineering, cloud platform teams, risk/compliance, and application stakeholders to ensure cryptographic services are scalable, secure, compliant, and easy to consume.

Responsibilities:

• Own the product strategy, vision, and roadmap for Identity Management aligned KMSaaS and cryptographic platforms
• Act as the primary product owner for enterprise key management solutions, including HSM based platforms and external cloud cryptographic services
• Manage feature intake and prioritization, balancing regulatory requirements, security risk, platform scalability, and business demand
• Lead release planning and execution, including versioning, change communication, and adoption strategies
• Partner with security architecture and engineering teams to ensure secure-by-design implementations and adherence to cryptographic standards
• Ensure platforms meet regulatory, audit, and compliance requirements (e.g., encryption standards, key lifecycle controls, separation of duties)
• Drive platform standardization and automation, enabling self service consumption and consistent integration across environments
• Represent the product in governance forums, stakeholder reviews, and executive updates
• Track product success using KPIs and operational metrics (adoption, stability, risk reduction, customer satisfaction)

Requirements:

• Senior level Product Management experience in security, identity, or platform services
• Strong expertise in Key Management Systems (KMS), HSMs, and cryptographic services
• Working knowledge of cryptography fundamentals (encryption at rest/in transit, key lifecycle, rotation, escrow, destruction)
• Experience managing enterprise scale KMSaaS offerings, including roadmap and release ownership
• Hands on experience with vendor platforms such as Thales HSMs and equivalent enterprise cryptographic solutions
• Experience with external cloud cryptography services, such as AWS KMS / CloudHSM, Azure Key Vault / Managed HSM, and Google Cloud KMS
• Expertise in automation and scripting (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash)
• Strong understanding of Identity Management and access driven security models
• Proven ability to translate technical security capabilities into product features and business value
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and executive level presentation skills

Desired skills:

• Experience with Thales HSM/CTM
• Familiarity with secrets management and vaulting platforms (e.g., CyberArk, HashiCorp Vault)
• Knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks impacting cryptography (e.g., PCI, SOX, FFIEC, NIST)
• Experience operating in large, regulated enterprise environments (financial services preferred)
• Background in platform or infrastructure product management, not just application level products
• Familiarity with DevSecOps, automation, and API driven service models
• Ability to influence across matrixed organizations without direct authority

Pay range: $78.04 - $86.04 per hour
