The Manufacturing Engineer I is responsible for applying their education, experience and expertise in the launch of new product designs into manufacturing, to make process improvements and to solve manufacturing problems.

Additional Duties:

• Interprets mechanical drawings, schematics and technical specifications to develop manufacturing work instructions, processes, routers, procedures and test protocols.

• Conducts prototype manufacturing builds to test and evaluate product and process designs and revisions.

• Works in close collaboration with other engineering teams, Supply Chain, Operations, Sales and Quality in the launch of new products and the manufacturing support of existing products.

• Develops and designs basic tools and fixtures, researches and specifies manufacturing equipment and systems.• Creates and maintains accurate mechanical drawings, schematics, technical specifications and manufacturing process documentation.

• Provides documentation on assembly methods and test procedures.

• Conducts failure analyses to resolve manufacturability or quality issues.

• Provides technical assistance in matters of products, materials, equipment and processes.

• May travel up to 5% to visit customers, vendors, suppliers, other company locations, affiliates, attend technical meetings, trade shows or conferences.

• Perform other related duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology or equivalent

• Experience: Internship, Co-Op or equivalent industry project experience.

• Special Skills: Manufacturing processes knowledge

• Travel Requirement: May travel up to 15% to visit customers, vendors, suppliers, other company locations, affiliates, attend technical meetings, trade shows or conferences
