Scope of Responsibility The Lead inspector is responsible to ensure that all parts, sections and/or poles meet standards set forth by design requirements. The Lead Inspector is also responsible for directing and assigning the daily duties of all Quality Control Inspectors with the supervision of the QC Supervisor. Serves as a “Working Lead Person” Must be able to perform all inspection functions except nondestructive testing. (Able to take over inspectors activities). Communicate instructions from management in a detailed manner on a daily basis. Responsible for training and development of all inspectors. Ensure that all documentation is accurately and neatly completed. Responsible for holding safety and all other meetings with team members in order to communicate important information at the beginning of each shift. Keep pass down log accurate. Ensure that all inspectors are complying with Sabre Tubular Structures safety standards. Able to assume responsibilities of the QC supervisor when needed. Maintain a professional demeanor at all times. Additional duties as assigned Position Requirements Regular and timely attendance is required High School/GED preferred but not required. One year in Quality Control or related field. Welding background a plus. Be able to read and interpret blueprints Be able to accurately verify all parts to print using a tape measure.
