Responsibilities
- Perform pediatric speech-language assessments and ongoing therapy for ages neonates through adolescents in an outpatient setting
- Administer standardized assessments (e.g., CELF, PLS-4) and interpret results to guide treatment
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans; adjust goals based on progress
- Provide augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) evaluations and ongoing AAC interventions as appropriate
- Address a range of pediatric speech-language disorders including developmental delays, and autism spectrum considerations; manage oral-motor, fluency, and voice/language disorders
- Educate patients and families, coordinate with caregivers, and participate in discharge planning; document care in the electronic charting system
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members (e.g., Social Services) to support comprehensive care
- Maintain 1:1 patient sessions where applicable and adhere to unit protocols and documentation standards

Requirements
- Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) required
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of pediatric SLP experience; travel experience required
- Population: Experience serving neonates, infants, children, and adolescents in outpatient pediatric settings
- Skills: Pediatric assessment and evaluation; AAC; development delays and autism considerations; oral-motor, fluency, voice, and language disorders; patient/family education and concurrent therapy planning; SLP evaluation coding
- Documentation: Proficiency with EPIC or equivalent electronic medical record systems
- Scheduling and onboarding: 8-hour orientation; completion of pre-start modules (approx. 16 hours); pre-approved time off as listed
- Additional: First-time travelers not accepted; locals not accepted
- Ability to work in an outpatient pediatric unit within a hospital environment and participate in routine holiday coverage as required
