We are currently seeking a Urologist for a locum tenens position near Minot, ND. This opportunity involves providing comprehensive urology services in both a clinic and call setting. The ideal candidate will have experience with TRUS biopsies and cystoscopies and should be comfortable working with a team of RNs and LPNs in a dynamic environment.

• Clinic Environment : The clinic is located within the hospital, ensuring close collaboration with other departments.
• Support Staff :
  • 2 Registered Nurses (RNs)
  • 1 Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

• Clinic Duties :
  • Manage an average of 1-3 patients daily
  • Perform 5 in-clinic procedures per day
  • Handle up to 30 scheduled patients daily
• Call Duties :
  • Provide weekend call coverage on a rotational basis
  • Respond to emergent surgical needs
  • Manage 1-3 stone cases as needed
• Procedures :
  • Perform TRUS biopsies of the prostate
  • Conduct cystoscopies and dilation procedures
• Surgeries :
  • Primarily focus on emergent cases
  • Typically handle 4 scheduled surgeries on designated surgery days

• Certification :
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology
• State License : Active North Dakota state license required
• EMR : Experience with EPIC is preferred
• Experience :
  • Proven ability to perform prostate biopsies with an RN
  • Proficiency in cystoscopy without an ultrasound tech on site

• Reason for Coverage : This coverage is needed due to the absence of a permanent provider on staff.
• Robotics : Robotics experience is not required for this position.
