Job Description Job Description Civil Engineer (EIT) – 3–5 Years Experience Location: Houston, TX Position Overview: We are seeking a Civil Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with 3–5 years of experience to support the planning, design, and execution of land development and/or public infrastructure projects. This role will work closely with project managers and senior engineers on a variety of site development, drainage, and utility design efforts. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the design and preparation of civil engineering plans, including grading, drainage, utilities, and site layout Develop construction documents, specifications, and technical reports Perform site investigations, data collection, and engineering analysis Support permitting efforts and coordinate with local agencies Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and other engineering software for design and modeling Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to meet project deadlines Participate in project meetings and contribute to overall project delivery Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field 3–5 years of relevant experience (land development, transportation, or water/wastewater preferred) Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required or in progress Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D (required) Strong understanding of civil design principles, including drainage and site development Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment Preferred: Experience with Houston-area design standards and permitting processes Exposure to hydrology/hydraulics or stormwater modeling Progression toward Professional Engineer (PE) license
