Position Type: Permanent Full Time Duration: DirectTechnical Solutions Inc. is currently seeking a Director of Service on behalf of our client, an HVAC contractor based in the Pittsburgh area. The Director of Service is responsible for leading and overseeing all service operations within the company, including maintenance, warranty, repair, and service-related projects. This role ensures high-quality service delivery, operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and profitability while aligning service operations with company goals and standards.Description:Leadership & ManagementLead, mentor, and manage service managers, supervisors, and field service teamsEstablish performance goals, conduct evaluations, and support professional developmentFoster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvementPerforms other related duties as assigned.Service OperationsOversee daily service operations, including scheduling, dispatch, and field executionEnsure timely and high-quality completion of service and warranty workDevelop and implement service policies, procedures, and best practicesCoordinate service activities with construction, project management, and sales teamsCustomer RelationsServe as the senior point of contact for escalated customer service issuesBuild long-term client relationships and ensure high customer satisfactionMonitor service performance metrics and customer feedbackFinancial & Business ManagementDevelop and manage the service department budgetTrack and improve service profitability, margins, and cost controlsPrepare forecasts, reports, and performance analyses for leadershipIdentify opportunities for service growth, upselling, and recurring revenueQuality, Safety & ComplianceEnsure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standardsOversee warranty compliance and risk management related to service workPromote continuous quality improvement across all service activitiesStrategic PlanningDevelop long-term service strategies aligned with company objectivesEvaluate and implement tools, technology, and systems to improve service efficiencyAnalyze market trends and recommend new service offerings or improvementsJob RequirementsQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience) or 8-12 years of experience in construction or service operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership roleStrong knowledge of construction service, maintenance, and warranty operationsProven experience managing budgets, teams, and operational processesExcellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skillsExperience in commercial construction or specialty tradesFamiliarity with service management software and ERP systemsProfessional certifications (PMP, CCM, or similar)Technical Solutions Inc. provides a wide range of staffing services throughout Western Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia.
