Street Maintenance Worker IThis is an entry level position that will work as a laborer maintaining streets, culverts and drainage systems as assigned. This position on occasion will operate equipment used in maintaining road systems. Requires valid Arkansas drivers' license and a clean driving record.Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Load and unload trucks and carrying of heavy materials.Maintains roads with asphalt repairs, cutting of grass, weeds, limbs, and trees and removing cuttings, act as flagman when crews are working on roadway.Maintains equipment and assigned vehicles in a clean and organized condition.Maintains drainage ways.Reports problems to immediate supervisor in a timely manner.May be required to work periodically for Sanitation/Recycling Department as trash collector.Follow all Property Owners' Association (POA) policies and safety rules.May receive or be required to gain additional training.May be required to drive a POA vehicle or personal vehicle while conducting POA business.Other duties as assigned.This position is subject to on duty lunch periods. An on-duty meal period is one in which the employee is not relieved of all duties.Regular attendance is required.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
