What You’ll Be Doing The Director, Equity Derivatives Sales, will focus on insurance clients for fixed‑strike and light‑exotic options. This candidate should have existing client relationships that they can bring to our platform. The candidate must have a deep understanding of the equity and equity derivatives markets, trading experience, and client relationships. They will also help evolve our commercial strategy and therefore need to be a strategic thinker capable of adapting to changes in the product and client landscapes. How You’ll Succeed Execute strategic business and financial plans for distribution of Equity Derivatives Sales products across U.S. investor clients. Partner with trading, risk, origination, and other teams across the firm to enhance CIBC’s functional capabilities. Keep up to date with market trends. Who You Are Values matter to you. Detailed working knowledge of the industry and market to assess impact of market conditions. Significant presentation and interactive skills sufficient to clearly articulate complex conceptual information and ideas on issues involving extensive interpretation and opinion. Creativity to resolve complex problems and identify innovative alternatives or opportunities. Comprehensive understanding of elements of profitability, risk, and cost control. Knowledge of business/finance typically acquired through university business degree or equivalent combination of education and industry experience, and relevant post‑graduate education as specified by US‑FIC. Unquestioned professionalism, ethics and reputation and proven ability to exercise strong independent judgment when making business decisions and or representing CIBC World Markets. This role has an expected salary of $225,000 for the New York, NY market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component.
