COOK – HIRING ASAP for a University in Abilene, TX !
Looking for a steady job with consistent weekday hours where your work makes a difference every day? Join our school cafeteria team as a Cook!
You'll help prepare quality breakfast and lunch meals for students while working alongside a supportive cafeteria team.
PAY & SCHEDULE
Pay: $[16.00]/hour
FULL-TIME COOK POSITIONS
4 Cooks – Monday–Friday
1:00 PM – 9:30 PM
1 Cook – Monday–Friday
3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
PART-TIME COOK POSITIONS
1 Cook – Saturday & Sunday
7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
2 Cooks – Weekend Schedule
Saturday: 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM
Sunday: 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Cook, you'll play an important role in preparing nutritious, quality meals and keeping the kitchen running smoothly.
Responsibilities include:
Prepare and cook breakfast and lunch for students
Follow recipes and food preparation standards
Assist with food prep, portioning, and assembling meals
Maintain proper food quality and presentation
Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and sanitary
Follow food safety, sanitation, and temperature guidelines
Safely use kitchen equipment and cleaning supplies
Properly store food and supplies
Work closely with the cafeteria team to ensure meals are prepared and served on time
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We're looking for someone who is dependable, hardworking, and takes pride in their work.
Previous cooking or food service experience preferred
Reliable transportation
Strong attendance and reliability
Ability to work a consistent weekday schedule
Comfortable working in a busy kitchen environment
Able to follow recipes and instructions
Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills
Ability to stand and remain on your feet for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. when needed
REQUIREMENTS
Must be 18 years or older
Must successfully complete a background check & drug screen
Must be authorized to work in the United States
High school diploma or equivalent
