Community School Coordinator

Company Description North Carolina Community Schools Coalition is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the community schools model across the state. The coalition partners with school districts, community organizations, and local stakeholders to integrate academics, health and social services, youth and community development, and family engagement. Its work focuses on creating schools that serve as neighborhood hubs, connecting students and families to vital resources and opportunities. The organization supports schools with coaching, training, and technical assistance to build sustainable, equity-focused community school initiatives. Role Description The Community School Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Cherokee, NC. This position serves as a bridge between the school, families, and community partners, working to align resources and services that support student success and family well-being. Day-to-day responsibilities include building relationships with students, families, staff, and community organizations; coordinating programs such as mentoring, after-school activities, and family engagement events; and facilitating communication between all stakeholders. The coordinator will assess school and community needs, help develop and implement a community school plan, manage and grow partnerships, and track participation and outcomes.
