A travel pharmacist opportunity is available at a 45-bed community hospital, offering an engaging role supporting inpatient pharmacy operations. This position is ideal for a dedicated pharmacist licensed in California with solid inpatient experience and familiarity with hospital pharmacy practices.

Location: Bakersfield, CA

Schedule:

• Four 10-hour shifts per week
• Variable days and afternoon shifts starting at 7:30 AM or 1:30 PM

Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 13 weeks travel assignment

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications accurately and safely in a hospital setting
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient medication therapy
• Utilize Cerner IT system to manage pharmacy documentation and medication orders
• Monitor drug therapy and counsel patients or staff on medication use
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active California Pharmacist license
• Minimum 2-3 years of inpatient pharmacy experience
• Proficiency with hospital pharmacy systems, preferably Cerner
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to adapt to variable schedules and fast-paced environments
