Purpose and scope Manage and oversee daily facility operations to ensure cost-effective, compliant operations and programs. Collaborates with the Medical Director and Clinical Manager/Charge Nurse to deliver quality patient care from admission through discharge. As the clinic leader, you have authority to make daily decisions to ensure continuity of care and patient/staff safety. Markets available services through presentations to physicians and dialysis facilities. You will ensure that quality patient care is delivered while maintaining clinical operations. As the facility leader, you will be part of a close-knit, collaborative team responsible for delivering unique care plans and providing dialysis treatment to patients facing end-stage renal disease or chronic kidney disease. Principal duties and responsibilities Clinic Operations Provides leadership, coaching, and development plans for all direct reports. Partners with internal Human Resources, Quality, Education, and Technical Services. Collaborates with the Home Therapies Program Manager to oversee the facility’s Home Therapies Program. Maintains integrity of medical and operations records and complies with data collection and auditing activities. Accountable for ICD coding and for required network reporting and on-site state or federal surveys. Manages tactical execution of short- and long-term objectives, including costs, methods, and staffing. Administers the daily business operations of the dialysis clinic, including staff, patient care quality, facilities, equipment, and inventory control. Manages profit and loss and other financial aspects to achieve or exceed budget and KPIs. Patient Care Coordinates all aspects of patient care from admission through discharge. Serves as a resource for patients and families to address concerns. Oversees timely completion of patient care assessments and care plans. Manages patient schedules to ensure facility efficiency and develops action plans for missed treatments. Reports changes in patient status related to clinical, insurance, or transportation issues. Staff Participates in the selection and hiring of new team members and ensures onboarding and mandatory training. Ensures staff training, licensure/certifications are current. Supports clinical staff and encourages professional growth. Maintains knowledge of company benefits, policies, procedures, and processes. Provides feedback for employee evaluations and sets annual goals; conducts evaluations. Documents disciplinary actions and collaborates with HR and the Director of Operations as needed. Manages staff scheduling and payroll. Physicians Facilitates the physician privileges process and ensures compliance with Medical Staff By-Laws. Maintains strong physician relationships and ensures regular communication. Participates in Governing Body processes with MDs/DOs to govern policies. Other Collaborates with Clinical Manager/Charge RN, Medical Director, and physicians to ensure high-quality patient care and compliance with company policies. Coordinate patient care from admission to discharge and address patient concerns and feedback. Develop and communicate efficient patient schedules to maximize facility efficiency. Maintain Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) and Quality Assessment and Improvement Program (QAPI) activities with staff and physicians. Ensure compliance with Federal and State laws; maintain relationships with Medical Director and physicians; communicate policies and updates. Support and drive quality standards through CQI tools and FMS policies; implement facility action plans to meet quality standards. Provide training to ensure compliance with risk management initiatives and accurate documentation of training and licensure. Collaborate with HR on benefits, policies, and procedures; participate in employee recognition and satisfaction programs. Maintain relationships with Division and Corporate offices; communicate initiatives, policies, and procedures to staff. Utilize FMCNA/FMS services knowledge to contribute to business growth; maintain facility safety and security. Coordinate equipment maintenance, inventory management, and cost containment; supervise procurement and supply costs following formularies. Contribute to policy development and updates; support billing and contract-related activities as needed. Coordinate payroll and participate in on-site surveys; review provider contracts for vendor services. Perform other related duties as assigned. Supervision Supervises Charge RN and DPC staff. Physical demands and working conditions The role involves desk work, patient and staff interactions, and work in a health-care facility with controlled temperature and moderate noise. May involve exposure to infectious materials. Frequent standing and bending; ability to assist with patient and equipment movement; travel to regional, BU, and corporate meetings may be required. Education Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (RN) Current RN state licensure Must complete Fresenius Internal Clinical Leadership Training (Milestone I and Milestone 2) Experience and required skills Minimum 2 years Clinical Manager experience at FME Additional 6 months chronic or acute dialysis nursing experience Demonstrated leadership competencies: communication, customer service, continuous quality improvement, relationship development, results orientation, team building, motivating employees, performance management, and decision making Ability to supervise facility personnel and ensure high-quality patient care Ishihara Color Blindness test passing Preferred Experience in supervisory/management in a medical facility Med/surg or ICU/CCU experience preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with medical database software preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr
