    Custodian / Facility Staff

    Williamsport Lumber Yards is seeking dependable, detail-oriented Custodian / Facility Staff to maintain the cleanliness, safety, and overall upkeep of our facility. This role ensures that all areas both indoor and outdoor, are well-maintained and ready for staff, guests, and events year-round.

    This position reports to the Facility or Operations Manager and plays a critical role in keeping the venue safe, welcoming, and operational.

    Position Summary

    Custodian / Facility Staff are responsible for the day-to-day cleaning, maintenance, and general upkeep of the facility. This role supports a safe and pleasant environment for staff, visitors, and event participants, including but not limited to tournaments and special events.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Clean and maintain restrooms, locker rooms, offices, common areas, and hallways

    • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust facility floors and surfaces

    • Empty trash and recycling receptacles and ensure proper disposal

    • Maintain outdoor grounds as needed, including litter pickup and sweeping sidewalks

    • Assist with basic maintenance tasks and report any repair needs

    • Restock janitorial supplies and monitor inventory levels

    • Support set-up and tear-down for events, as requested by management

    • Follow all safety, sanitation, and chemical handling procedures

    • Ensure facility is presentable and safe at all times

    Qualifications

    • Must be at least 18 years of age

    • Previous custodial, janitorial, or facilities experience preferred but not required

    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive physical tasks

    • Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions

    • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb stairs for extended periods

    • Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented

    • Team-oriented with a positive attitude

    • Ability to work flexible hours if needed (some evenings or weekends may be required)

    Work Environment
