Job Description The executive business leader is responsible for GMF sales and operations at our Houston, TX location serving the Southwest. This position will lead a period of significant growth & acquisition. The successful candidate will have demonstrated strong team leadership, problem solving, and success in a B2B sales leadership position. The position will have direct P&L accountability for the business and manage team members in sales and logistics operations. As a core executive leader in the company, the VP/GM will drive the day-to-day business and grow the division. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, and a strong dotted line to the EVP Sales & Marketing, this leader will be accountable for driving revenues and profits through direct customer sales, sales to distributors, safety, quality assurance practices, expansion into new segments, distribution, and other operational efficiencies. Sales for this region are currently $35 million. Essential Role Functions Translate corporate strategy into an executable plan Execute growth strategies and objectives through new markets, new segments, mergers, acquisitions and cross-selling Maintain a culture focused on people safety & food safety Directly responsible for the performance of the site team. Safety – ensure our employees follow work safety processes Sales – ensure timely and consistent growth, customer visits & sales effectiveness Expand points of distribution – ensure sales areproperly trained & selling new acquisition items Grow our mainstream retail DSD program Logistics operations – deliver high service levels while controlling costs Manage expiration codes with procurement and sales team Develop and protect key client and customer relationships Interfacing with existing clients to gain additional business and finding new customers and markets for future business Develop appropriate organizational structure to enable successful servicing of product development, quality, customers, geographies, and segments Develop the talent of your team Work Experience/Requirements for This Role Bachelor's degree in business, Sales, Marketing, or Operations Management Minimum of 10 years in senior leadership/ general management positions Executive-level sales, and/or marketing position experience P&L management 5-10 years of food manufacturing or distributor experience (preferred) Experience in developing strong customer relationships and engagement Experience leading multiple functions, leaders of functions Schedule Days: Monday through Friday Hours: As required, office typically 8AM-5PM Work Location: Houston, TX 401(k) matching Medical insurance Vision insurance Disability insurance Life insurance Paid time off Paid parental leave Global Market Foods is an Equal Opportunity Employer #J-18808-Ljbffr
