About the Position

Key Responsibilities

• Function within an ICU float pool, floating to units of like skill and ability including SICU, ED Boarders, and possible surge areas; travelers float first
• Primarily based in Medical ICU with overflow to Neuro ICU; expected to float to additional units as needed
• Start IVs, maintain and manage multiple titrating drips, and provide critical ventilator care
• Care for complex patient populations including post cardiac surgery, vascular, trauma (Level 1), general surgery, neurosurgery, and overflow MICU patients
• Work a minimum of every other weekend and maintain a flexible schedule adjusted to meet unit and patient care needs
• Participate in bi-weekly Monday orientations and work 2 out of 4 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Day

• Active RN license required
• AHA BLS and AHA ACLS required
• NIHSS certification required prior to start
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Experience in a large (500+ bed) teaching facility required
• EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years required (non-negotiable)
• Experience with multi-system disease, CRRT, IABP, ECMO, mechanical ventilation, and multiple drips required
• Complete work history required, including bed count, EMR systems used, and facility type for all positions
• Reliable personal or rental vehicle strongly recommended; public transportation is not accessible in this area
• Vehicle should be equipped with all-season or snow tires from November through April

• CCRN certification preferred
• Hemodynamic device experience (please be prepared to detail specific devices on submission)
• Experience with COVID-19 patient care in a critical care setting
