Faculty Vacancy Announcement The Department of English at Bronx Community College is seeking to hire Adjunct faculty at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant Professor to primarily teach ESL and/or composition courses with a focus on academic writing in the fall 2026 semester. Preference will be given to applicants who have strong credentials and teaching experience in composition and developmental writing. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Qualifications Adjunct Assistant Professor: An earned doctorate in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, Language and Literacy, English, Composition and Rhetoric, or a related field is required, as is the ability to teach successfully in various instructional modalities. Adjunct Lecturer: A masters degree in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, Language and Literacy, English, Composition and Rhetoric, or a related field is required, as is the ability to teach successfully in various instructional modalities. All titles: Minimum one year of college teaching experience and the ability to teach successfully. Compensation Salary commensurate with education and experience.
