Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/09/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 48 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Overview This position is for a 12-bed intermediate care unit focused on critical care and neuroscience principles. The unit provides care for various patient populations, including those transitioning from Neuro ICU, as well as patients with neuro trauma, hemorrhages, ENT cancer patients post-tumor resection, and post-operative spine patients. Patient Care Responsibilities Manage and care for patients experiencing neuro trauma, subarachnoid, intraventricular, or intracerebral hemorrhages. Care for ENT patients undergoing cancer treatment, including tumor resection and flap reconstruction. Monitor and support post-operative spine patients. Address a wide range of neurological problems as they arise. Maintain a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:3. Shift Details This position requires working the night shift, with a schedule of 4 by 12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00). Staff members will be expected to work every other weekend and every other holiday, including two of the three winter holidays. Qualifications Current BLS and ACLS certifications required. NIH Stroke Scale certification is required. Experience with Epic electronic health record system is mandatory. Must adhere to the float policy as outlined.
