Job Description Role Overview Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) supporting plasma center operations. Reports to Plasma Center Manager and manages donor eligibility, adverse events, laboratory test review, and donor notifications. Works under guidance of Center Manager and Center Physician and follows regulatory and safety protocols. Key Responsibilities Determine donor eligibility and manage informed consent, medical history, physical exam, and blood testing. Assess and document donor reactions, follow SOPs for emergencies, including coordination with Center Physician. Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs on medical or technical issues, including donor safety and eligibility. Support vaccination programs for employees. Manage employee incidents and evaluate need for occupational health/ER evaluation. Coordinate as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized. Qualifications High school diploma or recognized nursing program graduate. Licensed or certified EMT-Paramedic in the state of assignment. Current CPR and AED certification. Basic IV therapy certification per state requirements. Completed FDA approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist. At least two years of clinical or hospital experience. Benefits & Compensation Hourly wage: $24.32 - $33.44, may vary based on qualifications.
