Vice President of Finance

This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who is deeply engaged in the day-to-day operations of the Accounting team. We are seeking someone who is visible, accessible, and actively involved working alongside the team, and fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement in daily processes.As a strategic partner, you'll oversee general ledger, payables, receivables, payroll, and asset management functions. You will lead and develop a skilled team responsible for producing accurate financial statements, strengthening internal controls in alignment with GAAP, and partnering with key leaders to integrate fiscal strategies into our broader organizational goals. Your responsibilities will include developing departmental work plans, guiding tax strategy and implementation, and overseeing budgeting, internal reporting, and annual audits.As a collaborative leader, you'll work closely with the CFO, participate in committees, and provide financial input for compensation and benefits planning. Visit us at to learn more about our organization.Position Highlights:Salary $149,060.42- $201,231.56 DOE with the ability to go higher for highly experienced candidates100% employer-paid health insurance including medical, dental, vision, Rx, 24/7 telemedicineProfit sharing & 403(b) retirement plan availableGenerous PTO, eight paid holidays, and much more!Relocation allowance is availableWhat We’re Looking For:Ability to interpret complex federal, state, and other governmental entities’ regulations and proceduresThorough knowledge of accounting, not-for-profit compliance, Uniform Guidance, and financial reportingStrong leadership and mentoring abilities with a collaborative mindsetStrong analytical and decision-making skills to be able to assess the root cause of an issue and determine an optimal solutionWhat You’ll Do:Direct the day-to-day functions of payroll, accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, grants, asset management, financial reporting, and budgetingEnsure compliance with GAAP and federal audit guidelinesManage cash and investment activitiesOversee capital assets and depreciation schedulesSupervise month-end, quarterly, and annual financial processesPrepare and file quarterly and annual tax reports and returnsImplement tax regulations and file returns for parent company and affiliatesConduct annual audits and periodic state reviewsPrepare financial reports for FQHC activities and federal grantsCollaborate with managers on accounting procedures and fiscal mattersMonitor internal controls and fiscal deadlinesOversee fiscal and grants contract management and reportingDevelop annual operating and capital budgets with CFO and senior leadershipQualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Finance10 years’ progressively responsible experience in managing Finance, Accounting, and/or Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) functions5 years’ management experience with an organization of comparable size and complexity in the healthcare industry is preferredA Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferredStrong analytical and decision-making skills to be able to assess the root cause of an issue and determine an optimal solutionThorough knowledge of accounting, not-for-profit compliance, Uniform Guidance, and financial reportingAbility to provide leadership and direction to both professional and clerical staffEffective consultative skills and ability to present to all levels of leadershipValid Driver’s License and proof of automobile liability insurance coverage are requiredOur Mission Statement“Together we transform our communities through compassionate, individualized care, eliminating barriers to health and well-being.”Our mission celebrates inclusivity.
