To us, the most important measure of our success is yours.Some of Your Specific Responsibilities Could Include:Document application of policies, procedures and workflow for assigned areas of responsibilityArchive records to satisfy audit and statutory requirementsDraft standards to improve quality as well as active contribution in improving and implementing global operation cycles, processes and workflows as well as the implementation of global policies and proceduresEnsure that all IFRS, GAAP and statutory closing and reporting tasks (e.g. annual report, reporting to regulatory authorities, NAIC reporting, other internal/external reporting requirements) related to own area of responsibility are accurate and timely on a global basisComplete assigned postings, journal entries and account reconciliations on a periodic basis. Reconcile and settle intercompany transactions within the affiliated company groupCoordination, transfer and reconciliation of data from interfaces of front-end systemsTake care of monthly legal entity close submission activities, including posting of accruals, deferred acquisition expenses and other accounting transactionsManage relationship with 3rd parties (auditors, biz units, tax authorities, public authorities, etc.)Assist internal clients (e.g. other departments) with reports, research and other activitiesIdentify problems and opportunities for improvements; propose creative solutions that improve qualitative and quantitative performance.What You'll Bring to the Role5-7 years experience in reinsurance, P&C insurance and/or asset management5-7 years experience in proven understanding of standard accounting (GAAP & IFRS) for insurance and reinsurance3-5 years experience in project and team work in an international and dynamic environmentAdvanced Excel and PowerPoint skills to effectively analyze data and convey messages in a winning fashion. Big data automation capabilities (e.g. Alteryx, AI, SAP Analytics Cloud)Understanding insurance financial statements and their performance measurement including driversLegal and Regulatory Framework: Comprehensive knowledge of local GAAP, IAS/IFRS, Regulatory, Tax and other relevant requirements (such as Allianz Accounting policies) wrt reporting, compliance and declaration.AI Literacy: AI data analysis and workflow automation using applications like Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT etc.Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business degreeLocally recognized professional qualification related to Accounting (e.g. CPA, ACCA, etc.), if applicable.Experience in applying artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to improve business processes and decision-making is preferred.External applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future employment-based sponsorship. The annual base salary range represents nationwide market range. The actual salary for this position may be above and will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate. The base pay is just one component of the AzC total compensation package.
