3D Technical Artist (Intern)

REPORTS TO: Department Manager / Team Lead

COMPANY OVERVIEW:

MOBIS Technical Center of North America is the Research & Development Center for Hyundai MOBIS a Tier 1 supplier and an affiliate under Hyundai Motor Group. MOBIS produces and supplies a wide variety of automotive components to customers including component modules (chassis cockpit and front-end module) core systems eco-friendly and DAS-mechatronics. MOBIS delivers the design and development of advanced engineering autonomous driving infotainment component modules safety brake and steering systems lamps ICS/electronics and software development solutions that consider the safety and convenience of our customers as well as the future.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND SKILLS:

Typical responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Create optimize and maintain real-time 3D assets for visualization simulation and synthetic data generation projects.

Develop and support MetaHuman and digital human workflows.

Assist with character rigging animation and facial animation workflows.

Create PBR materials and textures for realistic assets and environments.

Develop Python scripts and automation tools for content production pipelines.

Support AI-assisted content creation and synthetic data generation projects.

Collaborate with engineering and research teams.

Document workflows tools and best practices.

ADDITIONAL REQUIRED SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS:

Strong knowledge of Unreal Engine 5 MetaHuman Blender Python 3D Animation Rigging PBR Texturing Photogrammetry AI Tools and Real-Time Rendering.

Familiar with agile and version control- Jira git.

Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies.

EDUCATION / CERTIFICATION / YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:

Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Graphics Game Development Computer Science Digital Media Animation Engineering or related field.

0-5 years experience.

Portfolio required demonstrating Unreal Engine Blender animation scripting or digital content projects.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Primarily office and engineering lab environment.

May require extended periods of computer work content creation and documentation.

EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:

Standard business hours with flexibility based on project needs and academic schedule.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Office work is normally performed in a typical interior work environment which does not subject the employee to any hazardous or unpleasant elements.

TRAVEL:

No travel required.
