As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Systems Operator in Wilmington, DE , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you. Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeThur04:00 PM - 12:00 AM How This Role Works: Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. Responsibilities: Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and drivers by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, access‑control policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical/petrochemical location. Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying credentials, issuing visitor and contractor passes, maintaining entry records, and directing authorized personnel to appropriate areas. Observe inbound and outbound vehicle traffic, conduct access‑control checks in accordance with site procedures, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity to appropriate personnel. Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established site protocols and communicating with supervisors and emergency responders as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, parking areas, exterior grounds, and designated facility areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns. Minimum Requirements: At least 6 months of security‑related experience is required. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
