Psychiatric Nurse Position

Schedule

This is a 13-week contract position with AM shifts from 08:00 – 20:30, encompassing three 11.5-hour shifts per week totaling 35 hours.

Job Description

The Inpatient Department of Psychiatry includes two acute units, with one having 40 beds and the other 30. We treat adults with a variety of mental health diagnoses such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and major depression. An interdisciplinary team will provide 24/7 care that focuses on crisis stabilization, medication management, and individualized treatment planning. Nurses will be required to float between units as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized nursing care to adult patients with acute psychiatric conditions.
• Participate in crisis stabilization and medication management.
• Engage in team discussions for treatment planning.
• Float between units as required based on patient needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

A minimum of 2 years of experience in psychiatric nursing is preferred. Valid nursing licensure is required.
