As a Security Officer Unarmed Badge Check in Sunnyvale, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic retail location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. This role blends customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment for shoppers and staff. - Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observed activity and communicating with site contacts as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout sales floors, common areas, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and report concerns.
- Monitor access points, receive and relay information, and assist with foot traffic, deliveries, and/or guest inquiries in accordance with location expectations.
- Support loss prevention awareness by observing customer and employee activity, reporting suspicious behavior, and following post orders for retail-related incidents.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- X-ray screening experience is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
