Join a dynamic Labor & Delivery team as an OB Hospitalist, providing dedicated, in-house coverage for obstetric patients. This is your chance to practice at the top of your license, supporting a collaborative care team without the demands of outpatient practice.

• 12-hour shifts, 14 shifts per month
• Schedule includes days, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Dedicated in-house coverage no competing outpatient responsibilities during your shift
• Provide care for any unassigned patients who present to L&D, or, if requested, in consultation with the ED
• Provide triage for patients presenting to OB ED services.
• Perform vaginal deliveries, Cesarean sections, and other services for patients of the attending Obstetrical providers in coordination with the patient's Obstetrical Providers, or in an emergency situation.
• Serve as a surgical assistant for the attending Obstetrical providers.
• Be available to support the Certified Nurse Midwives and Advanced Practice Providers.

Qualifications

• MD or DO required
• Board Certified or Board Eligible ABOG
• 35 years post-residency clinical experience or OB/GYN fellowship training preferred
• High proficiency managing high-risk pregnancies and complex obstetric emergencies
• High proficiency in operative vaginal deliveries and complex Cesarean sections
• High-level fetal heart rate tracing interpretation
• Active or eligible NY medical license
