Attorney/Lawyer

We are looking for a Maryland-licensed attorney to join a practice serving clients in Maryland. This position focuses on a blend of general civil litigation, family law, and personal injury matters, requiring someone who can move cases forward with confidence from initial evaluation through final resolution. Responsibilities:• Manage a varied docket of civil, family, and personal injury matters from opening through settlement, hearing, or trial• Advocate for clients during court appearances, mediation sessions, depositions, arbitration proceedings, and trial-related matters• Prepare persuasive legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery materials, and settlement documentation• Analyze legal issues, perform research, and shape case strategies based on facts, applicable law, and procedural requirements• Guide clients on case status, legal options, potential exposure, and recommended next steps throughout representation• Lead settlement discussions with opposing counsel, insurance representatives, and self-represented parties to pursue favorable outcomes• Organize witnesses, documentary evidence, and case themes in preparation for contested hearings and trial proceedings• Maintain accurate matter files, monitor critical deadlines, and complete timekeeping and documentation in line with firm expectations• Work closely with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure efficient case progression across multiple practice areas
