Learn more at: Summary: The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides clinical support and direct patient care within a busy OB/GYN practice. Working under the supervision of physicians and registered nurses, the LPN assists with patient assessments, clinical procedures, and care coordination. This role supports the delivery of high-quality, compassionate care by assisting providers during examinations, preparing patients for visits, and ensuring accurate documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) system. Supervisory Responsibilities: None. Duties Responsibilities: Assists physicians and providers during patient examinations and procedures. Prepares patients for visits by obtaining vital signs, medical histories, and updating patient records. Administers medications and injections as directed by a provider and within the scope of practice. Provides patient education regarding medications, treatments, and follow-up care. Performs basic clinical procedures such as specimen collection and point-of-care testing. Maintains accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system. Coordinates with clinical and administrative staff to support patient flow and care delivery. Maintains exam room cleanliness and ensures proper stocking of medical supplies. Follows infection control, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance standards. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Skills and Abilities: Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills when working with patients and healthcare teams. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment. Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and patient care tasks. Knowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical procedures. Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems and clinical software. Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and complying with healthcare regulations. Education and Experience: Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing program required. Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Georgia or eligibility for license required. Previous experience in a medical office, women’s health, or OB/GYN setting preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday. Ability to assist patients with mobility and positioning when necessary. Frequent use of hands for clinical procedures and documentation.
