Job Description
Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiac Cath Lab Position Overview The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing patient care within the Cardiac Cath Lab. This role requires strong clinical skills and the ability to work independently after an orientation period. The nurse will circulate cases and monitor patients during procedures, ensuring the highest quality of care. Key Responsibilities
- Circulate and monitor cardiac catheterization procedures.
- Collaborate with scrub techs and other nursing staff during cases.
- Perform patient assessments and implement care plans based on individual needs.
- Maintain proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring utilizing GE MacLab/Combo Lab systems.
- Participate in the on-call rotation, with an expected commitment of approximately 10-11 days per month, including one weekend.
- Assist in various procedures including cardiac, peripheral, neuro, and traumatic embolization cases.
- Complete three days of orientation to become familiar with workflows and protocols.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Required certifications include ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), and NIHSS.
- Ability to work independently after orientation, capable of circulating cases with minimal supervision.
- Experience with electrophysiology cases such as ICDs, pacemakers, and ablations is preferred.
