When our employees bring their best and succeed, the Company succeeds.About the RoleThis position is responsible for analyzing, understanding, and translating business needs into executive reports and/or business/technical documents with minimal supervision.What You'll DoPerforms business requirements gathering process, including the creation of deliverablesConducts detailed researchPerforms analysis necessary to identify viable solution alternativesCreates technical documents, high-level solution design, and project timelinesStress tests solution results prior to productionMay perform testing including User Acceptance Testing (UAT)Participates in the complete system development life cycleOversees Special Investigations financial data tables mapping documents and maintenanceEngages with IT and/or Analytics surrounding data table issues and/or space planningWhat You BringEducation/Experience:Minimum high school diploma or GEDBachelor's Degree preferred.4-6 years of related IT work experience preferably in the health insurance industryHas played a key role in major company initiatives and demonstrated some leadership experience.Development experience required in one or more of the following applications: Snowflake, SQL, Power BI, or Python.Tableau Developer preferred.Experience data domain knowledge, which includes, but not limited to:Claims, provider, member data domain and their relationshipUnderstanding of key elements, data relationship(s), business rules, and analytic processKnowledge:Requires knowledge of system development life cycle and implementation methodologiesExperienced in using tool and methodologies (e.g. SIPOC) to identify process and operational efficiencies in business current and future state modelsDemonstrates proficiency in structured query languages or analysis techniquesDemonstrates ability to apply structure to a loosely defined problemDemonstrates understanding of core business functionsSkills:Requires ability to multitask and handle multiple projects simultaneouslyRequires excellent verbal and written communication skillsRequires strong PC skillsRequires excellent organizational skillsPrefer working knowledge of programming, development, and technical architectureWhy Horizon?At Horizon, you'll do meaningful work that directly improves lives—while being supported by a mission?driven organization that values expertise, collaboration, and growth. This range has been created in good faith based on information known to Horizon at the time of posting. Compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case.
