Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide high-quality emergency care to patients in a fast-paced acute care hospital setting. Responsible for delivering comprehensive nursing interventions and ensuring patient safety during night shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Stabilize and assess patients presenting with acute medical and surgical conditions.
• Administer medications, perform treatments, and monitor patient responses per ER protocols.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and share critical information.
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes accurately in the Epic EMR system.
• Float within scope to meet facility needs, including transfer and placement of patients.
• Adhere to safety standards and emergency response procedures, especially during hurricane season.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active SC or Multi-State/Compact RN license.
• Possess at least 2 years of recent ER nursing experience.
• Certified in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS; CPI and TNCC preferred.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Epic charting system.
• Capable of working 3 nights per week from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am.
• Able to work a flexible schedule and float within the department as needed.
