Being compassionate and sensitive is a prerequisite. A critical thinker who can act quickly with emergencies is preferred. Requirements Current state license required. B.S. in Nursing or related health field preferred but not required. Minimum of three years hospital-based nursing practice with experience in utilization/case management. BLS for Healthcare Providers required within 30 days of hire. Minimum of 2 years of work experience. Responsibilities Provide case management services to patients according to policy and procedure. Take direction from others and follow through concisely, promoting efficiency. Communicate well with patients, families, co-workers, etc. Set priorities. Act to protect and advance patients' best interests. Maintain knowledge of billing, pay or contracts, agreements and reimbursement issues. Demonstrate competency in performing the duties outlined in this job description and continually maintain performance standards.
